Susan Geier Fahmy

Susan FahmySince joining the company in 1996, Ms. Geier Fahmy has served as Vice President/Director of Safety & Health Services, and has provided effective leadership and quality control to a staff of six safety professionals and over 3,000 satisfied clients. Prior to Lovell Safety Management, she held the position of President of Corporate Safety and Health Consultants, Inc., a company providing comprehensive safety services to a diverse range of corporate clients, which she co–founded in 1981.

Prior to establishing Corporate Safety and Health Consultants, Ms. Geier Fahmy worked for Consolidated Edison Company of New York, as supervisor of its Hearing Conservation Program. She was responsible for the development and implementation of a total hearing conservation program for its 20,000 employees. She was then promoted by Con Ed to Divisional Safety Manager of Brooklyn Operations.

In addition to holding a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing and a Master of Science in Audiology from Brooklyn College CUNY, Ms. Geier Fahmy also earned a Master of Arts in Occupational Safety and Health from New York University, Center for Safety, and numerous other certifications as a safety professional. She has served as an Adjunct Professor at Hunter College's Graduate School of Environmental Health and has taught at NYU's School of Continuing Education and at CUNY Staten Island College's Department of Safety.

Ms. Geier Fahmy is a certified safety professional by the BCSP. She is also a certified NYS ICR 59 consultant and OSHA–certified instructor. Ms. Geier Fahmy is a past president of the metro chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers and past president and current treasurer of the Safety Executives of New York.

She is a recipient of the Harvey Siegel Award for safety excellence from SENY.
